How to Properly Size the Generator for the Size of the Pump

When needing to size your generator to your pump, use the equation below:

Key: (For B in the Equation)
Pumps less than 45KW = 2.8
Pumps 45-90KW = 3.2

Equation:
(Pump KW x B) / .8 = Kva of Generator Needed

Example: Pump is 30kw 
(30KW x 2.8) / .8 = 105 Kva
