BRIGGS & STRATTON UNVEILS NEW PRODUCTS & TECHNOLOGY

AT THE 61ST ANNUAL RENTAL SHOW

MILWAUKEE, WI (March 9, 2017) – Briggs & Stratton Corporation showcased new products and technology at the 61st annual Rental Show under its Allmand®, Billy Goat® and Vanguard brands as part of its continued focus on the rental and commercial channels.

“Briggs & Stratton is committed to providing innovative products and technologies that help our customers   get the job done more efficiently and at lower total cost of ownership,” stated Rick Carpenter, vice president of corporate marketing. “Our user-driven problem solving approach generates products with the features that deliver a better user experience, along with greater product uptime and improved performance.”

At The Rental Show, Allmand displayed its expanded product offerings, Maxi-Air™ Portable Air Compressors and a full line of Maxi-Power™ Mobile Generators. The Maxi-Air launched with two models, the MA185 and MA400, both providing consistent, high-pressure air volumes at low RPMs for enhanced fuel efficiency. The Maxi-Power generator line is launching with seven high-performance, easily maneuverable generators to accommodate a variety of applications ranging in power output from 25 to 150 kVa.

Billy Goat showcased both a new product and a new technology. The Next Gen 18” Hydro-Drive Sod Cutter was on display for show attendees to get a glimpse of the latest product added to the Billy Goat product line. Designed with the user in mind, this new sod cutter is easy to operate and comfortable to use thanks to its variable ground speeds and intuitive controls.

Billy Goat also introduced its new text to video capability. Billy Goat recognized the need to provide customers with effective, meaningful operator training when they rent a piece of equipment. The answer, text to video, provides the rental customer with on-demand operator training. Directed by information on the product, the user simply texts SOD to 33988 to receive a video on how to start and use the new Next Gen 18” Hydro-Drive Sod Cutter.

Vanguard engines were also on display touting the variety of applications these high-performance engines power throughout the rental and commercial industries. From commercial turf to construction to landscape and agriculture, these engines power it all. With a focus on enhancing productivity through unparalleled service and support, parts availability and the expertise to match the right engine to the right equipment, Vanguard engines deliver the productivity the rental industry expects. Vanguard staff was also on hand to support the many Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in attendance who have Vanguard engines on their equipment.

“We are pleased with the high level of interest our customers had in all of the Briggs & Stratton brands participating in the well-attended show,” added Carpenter. “We’re committed to the success of our rental and commercial customers. Our job is to make sure they can get their job done every day, even in the harshest conditions.”
